A Toast and an Invite! Slice 2013: 1 of 31

The March Slice of Life Challenge is sponsored by Stacey and Ruth from Two Writing Teachers.

March 1st will always mark my birthday as a slicer and a writer.  I owe so much to so many who have inspired me on this journey:

My students of 11-12 who inspired me to take this leap on Feb. 29, 2012 to go public with my writing.

My daughter who faithfully follows my posts and always comments (either by phone, on the blog, or in person).

My fellow bloggers who make this journey such a personal and delightful voyage by inspiring me with their posts and encouraging me with their comments.

Stacey and Ruth, who created Two Writing Teachers.  How can we ever thank you enough?

And so today, a toast to all who have inspired me on my journey and an invite to my students of 12-13:

Now listen my students and you shall hear
Of our month of slicing with nothing to fear.
You’ll find words are waiting for you to write,
When you stop to listen, your thoughts will ignite.

  4. March 1, your birthday as a writer, what a great way to think of the start of the SOLSC!

My favorite line here? "You'll find words are waiting for you to write." I'm going to be on the lookout for those words!
