My quickest slice ever and two questions to ponder!

Today I join my fellow bloggers in "serving up a slice" to the Tuesday Slice of Life sponsored by Stacey and Ruth from Two Writing Teachers.
Just walked in the door from school at 9:30 p.m.  Still have some sub notes to write and work to post in the online grade book.  Why do we have so many activities during the last week? We had an outdoor service project last Thursday, the 6th grade Olympics on Monday, the talent show today, and the all-school carnival tomorrow.  Why did my husband think the next-to-the-last-day of school was an okay time to schedule his eye surgery?

  1. Hope the surgery goes well! Somehow we do manage to get everything done, don't we?

  2. I have been wondering the same things! Why are the last days so busy? I guess it's probably because we try to cram every last thing into the little time we have left with students...but that also means that families, including your own, are also just as busy with those things as you are! It used to be difficult to be so busy when it was just me being busy with school stuff. But now, my children are busy with school stuff too! Whew! Enjoy your last days...summer is coming!

  3. Oops! We talk about the scheduling endlessly (at the end when everything is scheduled). I think no one wants to say "NO" to those end of school things. Wish they could be spread out a little bit!
