There's something I love about a new month. I still buy calendars for several spots in my home. And turn-the-calendar-page day
is a favorite day. Sometimes I have a calendar picture that I
is a favorite day. Sometimes I have a calendar picture that I
know I'll miss, like this April calendar page!
But new pics and possibilities await with each new month!
Flip the page
Squares of possibility
May beckons!
There is something so satisfying about flipping a page on a calendar. What fun calendar pics you have to look at all month long.
ReplyDeleteHa! As I was reading this slice, I was thinking about my office calendar--which I just noticed still says DECEMBER! I know I bought a new calendar... but can't find it in the clutter of my house. I need some calendar help, for sure! But I too love the way they signal new possibilities!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing. I have never thought about the different calendars I use. I admit I have a stash of prior years, just can't bear to let the pics go:/
ReplyDeleteMe too! I used to laminate them for use in the classroom. Now I don't know what to do with them. Maybe make envelopes out of them.
DeleteI've been known to rip pages out of calendars because I can't part with the images. I once had a month that was so awful I flipped the calendar page over two weeks early. I felt better! LOL! :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, Christie, I hate it when there's a pic I detest. I love that you flipped early! I look very carefully at ALL the pics now before I buy.
DeleteOoh - your April page was beautiful! I, too, love flipping the pages - and I just realized as I read this that I forgot today (it was a busy one), so now I get to finish commenting & go flip the page. What a nice feeling.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to create a poem from calendar pages. Your ending photo is dear to a grandmother's heart, Ramona.
ReplyDeleteI love turning a page to usher in a new month. And, May, indeed is always welcome after a long, cold winter.
ReplyDeleteHappy May Day!
I like how your slice grew out from calendars. In the past I sometimes bought calendars just because they had beautiful photos or illustrations. Now we have one simple numbers-only on the hallway wall and one family picture calendar on a living room shelf.
ReplyDeleteI love buying a new calendar - well actually several. I spend time checking out the photos to be sure I can live with them. I don't have a smart phone so rely on the calendar to keep me on track. Lovely calendars by the way!
ReplyDeleteI love calendars! I don't keep a paper one regularly any more, but every once in a while, I consider buying a new one.
