Today I join my fellow bloggers in "serving up a slice"
to the March Slice of Life Story Challenge community.
Thanks to Stacey, Betsy, Beth, Kathleen, Deb, Melanie, and Lanny
for hosting this meeting place each day in March
and for nurturing our writing lives.
When we pause to celebrate, we find the joy.
A week filled with moments to celebrate and remember.
Each week I join a few online friends
to celebrate the week. It's a great way to focus
on the positive things that happened in the past week:
Daughter's latest quilt top
Jack squeals with delight
as his mama tosses him into the air.
Teddy and his dad clean off the cars
on their snow day in Virginia.
Jack & Grandpa spend time
together on Thursday.
Three generations of our family
(Grandpa, daughter Sara, & grandson Jack)
Jack may have been the youngest
future voter in attendance
and one of the few to squeeze in a nap!
His favorite parts? The bus ride
and getting to touch the ambulance.
I enjoyed a wonderful excursion and lunch
with friends to celebrate Shelly's birthday!
Wow! I love quilts, and your daughter is quite an artist.
ReplyDeleteLove this photo essay. Thanks for sharing!
The photos did add quite a lot to this slice. Sounds like you have a lot to be thankful for on this Saturday in March! Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYour daughter's quilt is absolutely beautiful! And I love the pictures of your family marching. Jack is becoming an activist at an early age!
ReplyDeleteLove the quilt, too. How does she find the time? And love that you all went to the march. Good for you! Love that picture of dear Jack asleep.
ReplyDeleteLots of celebrations! Love the quilt and Grandpa & Jack’s matching plaid!
ReplyDeleteA celebration with wonderful photos to match. My favorite has to be with the sign of voting in 2035.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt. The photo story of three generations on the march is great. The photos of jack and Teddy with mom, dad and grandpa are my favourites.
ReplyDeleteLoved your celebrations, Ramona - but your grandkids are just always the best celebrations: love those happy smiles!
ReplyDeleteHappy squeals are the best. Yay for marching with the whole family.
ReplyDeleteJack is so cute! I love baby squeals.
ReplyDeleteRamona, I am so envious of that sweet grandson you have! Such a joy to get to spend time with him. Do you leave close by? It will be a while before I have one, I think. What a wonderful celebratory post with your precious family. Treasure every moment. :)
ReplyDeleteDani, not only does he live close by, but I'm retired and get to be Granny Nanny for three days a week that are filled with joy. We waited awhile for our boys, but are so glad they're both finally here. Even though one of them lives too far away. We treasure FT and share as many pics as we can.
DeleteI loved that Jack was in the march and Teddy was experiencing the snow.
