I have my own WTR (want to read) pile, books to recommend, books I've read, Newbery possibilities, and of course, sweet treats.
These bags are new at our library,
and you check them out for a year!
How cool is that?

Keep your fingers crossed! If they don't come, at least I'll be surrounded by good books, some sweet treats and a fellow book lover!
I want to come! I hope you have a crowd. What a fun plan for the kids.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great event! I hope some kiddos show up! We planned 3 library nights this summer as well. We had a handful of families. Wished for more, but thankful to have a few that we could read and connect with over the summer.
ReplyDeleteThe books look delicious -- oh and the treats look yummy too! :)
What a great event you've planned! Hope all goes well and you have lots of good conversation and eats too! Let us know how it goes!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun evening, and the brownies look yummy.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea. Please post how it went with things you would change or do again. I might like to steal this idea sometime! :)
ReplyDeleteWish I could attend! I've been thinking of ways to share books with my elementary school family over the coming school year. I wonder of a multi-school event at the library or one focused just on our school would feel more welcoming?
ReplyDeleteHave fun reading and sharing!
This is Callum, the event was awesome! The cookie bars were great and I hope that anyone who didn't come can make it next year!
ReplyDeleteoh, and the book recommendations were really cool-I took two home!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I hope it was a successful evening. Sounds like a wonderful way to connect with young readers and their families.
ReplyDeleteI want to come!!! I love this idea. I hope you will post update(s) about how things go. This looks like something I will want to duplicate where I live. Awesome!
