What's this?
A mid-afternoon text
inviting me out
on a date tonight?
A quick check
of my calendar...
Yes!
I'm available.
My dates arrive in
a carriage large
enough for five
and whisk me away for
a delicious dinner:
pizza,
carrots,
tomatoes
(a fruit, one
date reminds me),
milk,
AND
homemade hot donuts
with chocolate frosting
and sprinkles!
After dinner
and before dessert,
my dates make
a quick
costume change
accompanied by
giggled conversations
over the intercom.
And away we go
for the second half
of our evening.
Stories with Meg Lippert,
songs with Nancy Stewart,
dancing by all,
and fun with friends
at Island Books'
PJ Story Hour.
No visit to Island Books is complete without time
to romp in the playhouse in the children's section!
PERFECT DATE NIGHT!!!! YAY!!!!
