Celebrate This Week!

Join us each weekend for Celebrate this week with Ruth Ayres.
When we pause to celebrate, we find the joy.
Discover. Play. Build.
A week filled with moments to celebrate and remember!

1.  Gratitude for fans!
When I agreed to sub for a friend on Monday, I hauled fans from home.
Best. Decision. Ever.

2.  Nest on the deck!
This discovery led me to write "Musings on a Morning in June" for Poetry Friday.

3.  Book Talks!
Carrie Bowman, KCLS librarian, invited me to share the stage with her for end-of-year book talks with 6th graders.  I shamelessly plugged Books, Brownies, and Beyond, our after school book club.

4.  A room filled with books, lovers of books, and chatter about books!
It was bittersweet to realize it was our final meeting of the school year, but we have two meetings scheduled for the summer and two more years to share book love.

5.  Moving truck arrives today!
Sometime between 11 and 1, we head to Sara's and Will's new place to turn their house into a home.

  1. Wow. A busy week and LOTS to celebrate. I love that you have an after school book club--I keep thinking about trying one with high schoolers, but I'm not sure how many would do it. You've given me something to think about...
