Today I join my fellow bloggers in "serving up a slice" to the March SOLSC sponsored by Two Writing Teachers. |
busy
month expands
for this challenge
to capture moments.
I
slice to
observe life
finding time to
notice beauty now.
When
gray sky
gives way to
sunshine, I pause,
slow down, and savor.

Great job Ramona! Selecting just the right words to match the syllables is tricky, but you told it well! It is about slowing down, noticing, and savoring.
ReplyDeleteCaptures our month very well, Ramona. This must be a challenging structure & you found just the words for slicing. Have a wonderful rest of the day!
ReplyDeleteI like the form of this poem (new to me) and the words you choose to savor the moment. Your poem captures this month of slicing so well.
ReplyDeleteGreat poem! I discovered this here at TWT, too. I've tried it a few times, and introduced it to fourth and fifth graders. Some students really liked it.
