I "serve up a slice" at Two Writing Teachers and celebrate with Ruth Ayres at Celebrate this week! |
Moments of celebration this past week:
Cherry blossoms on a Sunday afternoon walk
Student donates new stapler to our classroom
Staggered bloomings - the "ugly" tree has buds
Sharing slices for Kate's 50th birthday
District announces retirement party - I'm listed
Student's humorous slice about his "perfect" dog
Blissful moments when everyone is writing
Afternoon sunshine at Slater Park
Doesn't take much to get a celebration happening, just a stapler will do. Beautiful picture, you get the best sunsets.
ReplyDeleteLove the pic, like always, Ramona. But what do you mean about the retirement party & you're listed? Are you retiring this year? I didn't know. Glad you had a nice week.
ReplyDeleteYes, I've kept it under my hat because I didn't want to spend my last year looking ahead to retirement. So quite a few folks were surprised to see my name on the list. Looking forward to more flexibility in my life so I can travel to see my kids more (both are still on the east coast). I'll sub some, and I have a few other ideas I'm hoping to pursue. It was harder to turn in my intent than I had anticipated.
DeleteBeautiful rainy picture! Retirement? Congratulations on a decision that I am sure was not easy to make.
ReplyDeleteWow, Ramona - this is big news. You kept the secret well!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures to go with your celebrations! It is the little things that make such a difference.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your retirement. I am sure your days will be filled with many new adventures! It is so nice to buds on the tree in your "spot." Can't wait to see it all green!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and a beautiful slice. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your retirement, Ramona! I'm excited for you to have time to see family...have time to relax...have time to spare. :) Loved that you included pictures tonight. I looooooove Seattle. Such a beautiful place to live! Lucky you! b

ReplyDeleteOooooh, the cherry blossoms! So beautiful! I'll just have to come look at this page for some spring.... Have a great week!
