"To wake, and worship, and rejoice..."

"That music kindly bids us wake:
It calls us, with an angel’s voice,
To wake, and worship, and rejoice;"

Christmas morning serendipity -  discovering Anne Bronte's poem, "Music on Christmas Morning" at Writer's Almanac!

And a giant thank you for Carol's nudge on Dec. 22!  I'm glad  to be a part of her Finding Fall Gallery.

  1. Ramona, "with an angel's voice it call us." How wonderful! Thank you for making me realize that rejoicing is what is in order.
Shall I rejoice that I finally am able to offer the Finding Fall Gallery for all to unwrap as a fine present?

  4. Music is the most moving of the arts in my book. So, I think the angel comparison is apt!

  5. What a wonderful poem! I love this part:
"And rouse this pensive heart of mine—
As that we hear on Christmas morn,
    Upon the wintry breezes borne."
