2015 SOLSC 8/31: One Tiny Whiff of Winter!

Today I join my fellow bloggers in "serving up a slice"
to the Slice of Life (SOL) community.
Thanks to Stacey, Tara, Betsy, Dana, Beth, and Anna
for hosting this meeting place each day in March
and for nurturing our writing lives.

Knowing that many are overtired of winter
I'm hesitant to share this haiku,
but we feel cheated this year . . .

November's flutter

Squashed by shouting spring

  3. You speak for many of us, Ramona. We do feel cheated. Today was a balmy 31 degrees and my adult son was considering shorts. Come on, Spring!

  4. Darn the luck, to be squashed by spring and only a whiff of winter. Want to trade places next year?

  6. Beautiful! I have to admit that I am quite anxious to look out my window and see those signs of spring. Patience! Patience, I guess.

  7. Shouting spring! Spring is shouting in my head and my nose...allergies. This is the part of spring that I despise. The photos are gorgeous.

  11. How beautiful those blossoms are! I understand feeling cheated - I always want snow, and then I am delighted when spring comes. But at heart, I'm a 4-season kind of girl.

  14. Thank you for the haiku! I lived in Japan for two years and studied haiku, so I loved coming across this post. Spring can be loud and obnoxious, for sure. After all, "April is the cruelest month."WW Erin

  15. Don't know how I missed you today. I'm writing new curriculum and am crazed with the job! This is gorgeous, Ramona-love that you can say you've had a 'whiff of winter', & then those gorgeous trees-can't wait!
