Celebrate This Week!

Join us each weekend for Celebrate This Week with Ruth Ayres.

When we pause to celebrate, we find the joy.
Discover. Play. Build.

A week filled with moments to celebrate and remember.

Jack and his mom and dad were in Utah at a family reunion.
Even though Jack was gone for the entire week,
daily photos helped me survive!

Teddy's family enjoyed Aunt Amy's visit
and touring DC sites.

I got my $10 lifetime senior pass to the National Parks.
I walked with friends in Pioneer Park.
We viewed tiny flowers and big sequoias.

We danced and sang at Raise the Roof,
the KCLS 75th birthday celebration with
musician Nancy Stewart, the Lundell girls,
and other community members!
I hope your week is filled
with moments to celebrate
and a wonderful 4th of July!

  1. Jack's smile is so precious! Love that pic of Teddy reading with his aunt, too. Both are already changing! I envy you your walk among the sequoias. Your home is in a magical place for sure. I've only been a few times, but I know it's special. Happy 4th of July to you, too, Ramona!

  3. Great celebrations this week, Ramona! This line struck me: Even though Jack was gone for the entire week, daily photos helped me survive! I understand that statement since photos are what I wait for, too.

  4. Thanks for sharing so many celebrations! And for the wish for our own celebrations- I've enjoyed times with family and friends this week. The freedom to enjoy these simple pleasures is one of the greatest things to celebrate on the Fourth.

  5. Ramona, what a rich slice of a rich life! I am loving the senior National Park pass. My father had one of those, and oh boy did he use it! Paul and I are thinking of doing a mini National Park tour next year... Utah, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado... we'll see! xo
