When I returned from a recent trip to visit my sister in Texas, my daughter informed me that it was time to put away my snowman/woman decor. While we haven't had significant snowfall this year, we've had enough to cause several snow days, some late starts, and numerous remote learning days. So a few days later, I informed her that I had indeed packed up the snowpeople for 2025. Any future snow events could not be blamed on me.
That is, until, this morning when I spotted a ceramic snowman on the kitchen bar. A quick glance around the kitchen revealed several items of snow decor that had not been included in the first snow sweep of this year. Now I can fully report that all snow person decor has been packed away. I thought you might enjoy seeing the items from this final roundup!
You’re not alone! I realized I still have a snowman trivet on my stove and a Valentine wreath on my door last night. Maybe I’ll finally catch all the lingering decor over Spring Break!
ReplyDeleteI have a few touches of Christmas that stay out year round… mostly they are the word JOY” (my daughter’s middle name).
ReplyDeleteThis is fun. Especially as these snowpeople are fairly meaningless over here in Australia, as our snow is so localised, most states don't get to appreciate any at all!
ReplyDeleteIt's like spring - it seems it has arrived and then a new snowfall follows. Eventually all snow will melt.
ReplyDeleteRamona, I still have a snowman dish on my kitchen table...after, all. we DID just have snow in the last couple of weeks! It IS still winter! Moreover - my granddaughters love the ceramic snowman so I have been reluctant to put it away. Love the notion that snowfall could be blamed on you for leaving them out.
