I'm back for year 14 of the March Slice of Life Challenge! We joined daughter's family for homemade pizza tonight. I walked there and back. I resisted the call of a podcast on my return walk and savored my surroundings which I'm sharing in this illustrated haiku!
blue sky beginning
golden circle captivates
sunset tugs me home
I too love a good podcast, but the sounds and beauty of nature can sure top them all. The haiku made me smile.

ReplyDeleteSunset tugs me home… love that line! And the silhouetted trees in your photo!
Pleasant haikus to kick off the challenge! How nice that you can walk to your daughter's home. I am looking forward to many springtime walks!
ReplyDeleteOh, that last line! I can walk to my daughter's house too! Isn't that a wonderful gift! I am glad you are writing for year 14!
ReplyDeleteYour illustrated haiku is so lovely! I never thought of doing it that way.
ReplyDeleteNow I want to try an illustrated haiku! I appreciate this reminder to be present sometimes in quiet and stillness.
ReplyDeleteRamona, I love your photographic haiku walk. I will invite friends to add their poems in a new Sanctuary of Thought. More will come later. I did use an inspirational quote you had on your blog to start my poetry for our SOLSC #SOL25.
ReplyDeleteHi, Ramona! I love your illustrated haiku, and I'm happy to be back on your page for another SOLSC! :)
