Two days down and one to go for the RootsTech Conference in Salt Lake City. I have forgotten how tiring it can be to sit all day and be a student. It's like drinking from a fire hose. Classes begin at 8 am and run until 5:30 pm. We have thirty minute breaks between classes and an hour and a half for lunch (a big improvement over teacher lunch times).
I'll settle for a quick post with five things I enjoyed today.
1. A snowy morning
2. A son who came early to shovel my driveway
3. A sign featuring the RootsTech theme for 2025
4. Meeting a third cousin - our shared ancestor is my great-great-grandmother
5. More time with my newly discovered second cousin
to share stories of the Aaron family
This is my fourteenth year to participate in the March Slice of Life Challenge, writing every day during the month of March. Thank
you, Two Writing Teachers, for creating this challenge and providing the
space and support for us year after year. And thanks to this magnificent
community for sharing stories with me and encouraging my writing life.

ReplyDeleteBusy, full day!
I'm glad you had such a full day, but yes, that makes the writing challenging. :)
ReplyDeleteI want to hear more about discovering cousins! That's so wonderful!
ReplyDeleteOh my, I can't imagine sitting that long! But what a fun conference!
