SOLSC #15 - Slice of Life is sponsored every Tuesday by Stacey and Ruth from Two Writing Teachers. For the month of March, I've joined the challenge to post a slice of life daily.
Today's post is a haiku which captures my frequent thoughts at the close of day. Call me a cockeyed optimist, but I'm always ready for a fresh new day! (And yes, I snapped the photo in our faculty parking lot on a December 2011 morning.)
Day's end fills me with
Overwhelming challenges.
Sunrise calls me back!
Stunning picture, gorgeous poem.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful poem. I am trying to get up the creative juices to try a haiku. It's amazing to me how people can pack such thought into so few words. You did a great job with this one! Loved the last line.
ReplyDeleteThanks for telling where you took the picture too - adds something special to your slice. I love Haiku - I should try it more often, you've created a nice example for me.
ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous photo and perfect words to accompany it! It's good to be an optimist.
ReplyDeleteHaiku is such a delicate form. Nicely done!
