Sixth Graders Select Superior Slices!

SOLSC  # 12 - Slice of Life is sponsored every Tuesday by Stacey and Ruth from Two Writing Teachers.  For the month of March, I've joined the challenge to post a slice of life daily.

My sixth graders are slicing with me this month.  Their entries are amazing.  Today, each student put a sticky note on the post they wanted me to read!  When you read the abbreviated version in this list poem from block 1/2, you'll wish you could read the rest of the story! Stay tuned for the list poem from my 3/4 block later this week.

    1. Actually, I carved words from their slices to create the list poem. It will be fun to share it with them tomorrow and watch them look for their slices.

  2. Very cool way to capture their slices. I also like the way you made the poem look like an hour glass -- how appropriate since they are capturing "sands of time."
